The large Taurus Exploration Vehicle is used to explore new worlds and provides transport and accommodations. A kind of "RV From Hell".
The turret has twin laser cannons.

where as it has a good offense for long range i see this vehicular being very vulnerable for up close fighting with out infantry support, the lack of visible fire ports or side, front, rear offensives seems to make it so that if it was caught into Urban combat and the opposing got close, other then that.. looks like a re-purposed 7ton truck ..not that thats a bad thing, the 7ton is a bad ass vehicle that can pull nearly anything and everything through any sort of terrain.. but it seems a bit.. vulnerable to not have smaller escorts..

Well, it's an exploration vehicle not a military vehicle( there is a military version),so the weapons it has are for defense only.

The threat element come from many sources...other nations( Earth in this setting isn't unified), hostile aliens( especially the insectoid "Hydrax"), pirates & assorted space scum, and dangerious lifeforms.
