This is the ASF Tharsis, a Phoenix class spacebattleship of the Axis Assembly's Space Force out on patrol, ready to kick ass!
She comes from a Mars basied fleet, and thus her name reflects her home port.

This "old school" style spaceship( Syd calls the type a "Ninja Rocketship") was ment to be VERY "Space Cruiser Yamato"( aka "Starblazers"), and it has quite a few design elements influanced by the work of Syd Mead. This drawing is pretty simplistic, and I really need to redo it and the background sometime.
The "ASF Phoenix" is the red version of this ship and was used on the Project Akon 16 staff t-shirt( that can be found elsewhere in my gallery).

There's a lot of Syd Mead's design style figures into this ship, but you are right...it kinda looks Mekton-ish. We have to see how it changes when I do a new version of the Phoenix class with winglets, mass drivers, re-worked superstructure, and more details.

The Interstellar Axis Assembly aren't Nazis by any measure....maybe a bit fascistic...but not Nazis.

Wait til I put more ASF vessels up in the future.
