Lak'Shani ASF-1 Fighter

Milieu: Stellar Horizons RPG
[link]

The Lak'Shani is an old Kir'veran( a Sha'Kavri nation) fighter, that's often used in the strike role. Armed with four battle lasers and underwing hardpoints for missile pods, bombs, or chemical dispensers. It's been widely exported to other Sha'Kavri nations( kind of like an alien "MiG 21").

Style notes: Once again going with "old school anime" style, with a nod to the old "Cosmo Zero". The severe cranked wings were to client specs, and help give it an alieness needed for a Sha'Kavri design.

All the pointiness does indeed harken to a Matsumoto influence...

I like the nods to the Space Battleship Yamato look.

Respect to the Cosmo Zero! I'd venture to call this thing the Cosmo 00! Heh.

So there are more stellar horizon players out there. Great picture. Any chance you could do the e3arth side.

We've gotta finish a special project for "Free RPG Day".

Chemical weapons use is common for them? It's always interesting to speculate on what's 'acceptable' in the conduct of war for a particular culture. I can definitely see the Cosmo Zero influence in this - particularly the engine housing.

The Sha'Kavri have not the slightest qualms about using chemical or even nukes on their enemies( other Sha'Kavri and aliens alike). Only the threat of like retaliation and entangling alliances keeps them from employing such weapons...more often.

It's always one of those tricky questions that moralists love to wade into because it will never be them on the front lines. Why is it acceptable to shoot someone to death with agonizing gut wounds but not incinerate them with napalm? That kind of thing.

"We train young men to drop fire on people, but their generals won't let them write "FUCK" on their airplanes because it's obscene..."
-Col. Kurtz
(Apocolypse Now)

Heck, you can't even call the enemy some kind of derogatory name, lest you upset them, offend them, or hurt their ego while you kill them.
Some weapons "disturb" some people with the method of killing, when the thing that should disturb people is the fact that the killing is occuring at all.
Not that I'm opposed to killing the enemy of my nation and civilization, but it sure as hell should be done with a damn good reason.

But then I belive that if war is nesscessary , it should be as horrible as possible so that people will think twice about starting one.
