GTP-5 Warpod by Artraccoon GTP-5 Warpod by Artraccoon
The GTP-5 Warpod is an anti-grav mecha used by military contractors, troubleshooters, militia, adventurers, others that need a useful combat vehicle.
The GTP-5 slings a 30mm plasma tri-barrel, an over-the-shoulder 120mm plas-bolt cannon, and each arm totes twin pulse lasers and a heavy machine-gun. It can be fitted with missile packs.
When landed, the GTP-5 rests on it's forearms.
The large disk on the back is the cover on the "g-coil" lift and movement system and the twin drives are visable on the rear.

Very nice. I like these flyers. What are the arms for in a flying mech?

For much the same function as regular limbed mecha, for picking up items, holding weapons, pushing stuff over, bashing, etc.
Since these mecha use a gravitic lift system they can be very stable while using their arms.
The arms also double as landing skids.

These mechs are very simular in concept to those from the old school anime "Orguss".

Cool. I was just wondering. I can see it being useful for hot switching weapons in the battlefield, but it require a need for dropped weapons or other situations where you weren't going to just clip something into a universal clip.

I've always thought that "spaceships with arms" was a really cool concept and your rendition of one here is awesome! Keep up the great work! :D :+fav:
