AMG-90A Adder by Artraccoon AMG-90A Adder by Artraccoon
The AMG-90A "Adder" is an attack grav-mecha in service with the Interstellar Axis Forces.
It uses it's G-coil to fly into action and provide assault and close support operations, much like 21st Century combat helicopters.

The emblem is from the 2 Battalion / 26 Division "The Azul Scorpions" of the Axis Interstellar Marines.

The stats for the AMG-90A is as follows:

On the main body:
Left side- 90mm Ultra High Velocity Auto Cannon
Right side- 40mm Rotary Cannon( with HE/Frag rounds)

Left arm: Twin 50mm Pulse Lasers
Right arm: 105mm Beam Cannon

Missile Packs can be fitted to the top hull( but are not in the example pictured).

Vehicle is interface capable, but has a relatively slow atmo max speed of about 780mph. In it's main combat role it rarely gets above 400mph.

Yay, another Warpod! I dig these M-Rover designs of yours, they've got a lot of character. I also like your coloring technique a lot.

As a ex-military man I would love to ride one of this puppies in combat, Stats are acceptable and the enemy would retreat in fear. Also the hands would help in base construction, civilian help( got to make a civilian counterpart) and recon ops.

I love this design, but I have a hard time imagining it ever functioning as a supersonic vehicle. The arms could probably sweep back and point aft, but the fuselage guns, particularly that 90mm cannon with the big muzzle brake, just seem to be too much drag - and off-axis drag to boot.

The nifty thing about grav tech is the ability to project an aerodynamic cone/lifting compression field ahead of the craft, active at speeds above 450 mph. At that speed the G-system goes from basic counter-mass lift to AC/LC field projection mode.

Looks to me like a sawed off second generation zentraedi officers pod. Nice design but what possible use are arms and hands to a gravitic tank?

Well, they could be used to carry additional weapons like gun pods/MS scale handheld weapons. Considering one of the most popular mecha weapons of the Axis Forces is a giant "Panzerfaust" type weapon, hands would be, ahem...handy.
They could also be used to clear obstructions, force entry into structures, and toss aside enemy hardware.
Thus it tends to be more mecha-like( at the high end of Axis grav tech application) than tank-like.

The concept is very much like the vehicles from Orguss.

At least you have a rationale for the design. Thats impressive, its shows that you thought through the design logically. Many people that design mecha fail to do this (too many).

Well this vehicle is one of several families of "G-coil" mecha in my milieu, so I have to have both a reason & consistency for the design.

Hahahahaaa...

You want to know something? I found three of my unbuilt Orguss kits, a 1/48th scale M.Lover Lieea, a 1/48th scale M.Lover Maaie, and a 1/72nd scale Orguroid!
I've also got a die-cast metal & plastic Iskick and a Nikick. I liked those two mecha a lot!
I bought all of those waaay back in the 1980's!!

The vehicle name "M.Lover" I think is a typical Japanese "Engrish" type of mistake and should read "M.Rover"( Mobile Rover, perhaps?).

Maybe I need to draw some Orguss mecha and characters sometime for fun?

I think that would be a capital idea! Considering you've got reference material, you could do some really impressive stuff.

Yeah, you're probably right about the Engrish - although M. Lover has that kinda rapper-type ring to it...^_^

Can see where you're coming from...

The inspiration is a bit older though, as in the "Old School Anime" show "Orgus"
